The Community Services Division of the Winter
Park Police Department is comprised of supervisors, officers,
and civilians. The responsibilities of this Division range
from implementing community oriented policing units, (such
as Neighborhood and Business Watch, Uniform Bike Patrol
and the School Resource Officer program) to overseeing the
the Communications, Records and Property & Evidence
Sections. In addition to these functions, the Division is
also responsible for the Training, Personnel, and Accreditation
Sections for the Department.
Along with above listed functions, the Communtiy
Services Division is in charge of many of the civic minded
programs offered by the Department. The Citizen's Police
Academy, Police Explorers, security surveys, bicycle saftey
programs, and Department tours are just a sample of some
of the civic programs that are contucted by the Division.
