The City of Winter Park has a new emergency notification system. The Outreach system gives city officials the ability to deliver pre-recorded emergency notification/information messages to targeted areas or the entire city. This system also has the ability to deliver the messages in a number of different formats. As an example, the messages can be sent as a standard phone message, a text message or even via email.

The City has established a database from local listed numbers. To ensure no one is omitted, Chief Railey urges all individuals and businesses who have unlisted numbers or use a cell phone as their primary phone, to follow the link to the "Winter Park Outreach Registration". Those without Internet access may call the Community Services Division of the Winter Park Police Department at 407-643-1633(Crime Prevention Line), to give their information over the phone. Required information includes first and last name, street address (physical address, no P.O. boxes), city, state, zip code, and primary phone number, additional phone numbers (optional) and email address. This system will be used to notify City residents and businesses only.
