As like most U.S. law enforcement
agencies, the Winter Park Police Department is organized in a paramilitary
fashion. With this being said, what exactly is a paramilitary organization?
A paramilitary organization is a group of civilians trained and
organized in a military fashion. This type of structure affords
a distinct chain of command and a strict set of rules and procedures
set forth to accomplish goals and tasks required by the job at hand.
Below you find links to the Department's organizational chart, which
lays out the Department's Chain of Command.
